Note: Calhoun did some great things last night, but the one bad thing he did may have cost the Angels a few runs. He tried to make it home (from 2nd) during a play to 1st v Mike Trout & as noted below was easily tagged out to end the inning. If he had remained on 3rd,with Trout on 1st (who would have been given 2nd on a steal),who knows what might have happened. Also, numerous fielding errors by Angels helped seal their downfall to the A's. They still have hope, even though the Astros win,as they head to Texas for their final 4 games of the season. Four straight wins by Angels will give them the AL west championship. Anything less and it depends on how Houston does in a bid for the wildcard spot (among other things)
KOLE CALHOUN RUNNING ERROR COMES BACK TO HAUNT ANGELS:"Oakland Beats Angels, Who Cling To Second Wild Card Spot" - Halos Heaven
"After Erick Aybar reached on a single, Kole
ripped a double off the right-field wall and
notched an RBI. 5-3, Angels. Mike Trout was
ready to bat. He hit a weak grounder to short
and beat it out, but for some reason, Kole kept
running and was nailed at home. Well, not really
home. Halfway to home. That's how dumb of a
decision it was. Either way, 5-3, Angels...."
